Kenneth A. Goldman, M.D., RVT, FACS

Dr. Kenneth A. Goldman was born and raised in New York and attended Cornell University, graduating with distinction in 1984. He attended New York University Medical School, receiving his medical degree in 1988. He remained at New York University-Bellevue Hospital Center for his internship and residency in General Surgery, followed by a Fellowship in Vascular Surgery also at NYU. During this time, he served as Clinical Instructor in Surgery at NYU Hospital, and Assistant Attending Surgeon for General and Trauma Surgery at Bellevue Hospital. Upon completion of his subspecialty training in vascular surgery, Dr. Goldman joined Princeton Surgical Associates in 1994.

Dr. Goldman is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is double board-certified by the American Board of Surgery in both General and Vascular Surgery. He is a Registered Vascular Technologist and is Medical Director of the Princeton Surgical Associates Noninvasive Vascular Laboratories. Dr. Goldman is a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery, the Peripheral Vascular Surgery Society, the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, and the Vascular Society of New Jersey.

The majority of Dr. Goldman’s clinical practice involves treatment of diseases of the veins, in particular the veins of the lower extremity. He treats a wide array of venous disease including varicose veins, venous stasis skin changes, venous wounds, deep venous thrombosis and swelling of the lower extremity. He uses the most up-to-date methods of minimally invasive vein treatment including radiofrequency ablation (Venefit procedure), foam chemical ablation (Varithena procedure) and various forms of injection sclerotherapy. All of these techniques are done in the Princeton office, under local anesthesia, affording patients rapid recovery and nearly immediate return to regular activities of work and leisure. Dr. Goldman has one of the largest experiences with the Venefit procedure and he serves as a clinical instructor for the Medtronic company, teaching surgical techniques to other physicians. Dr. Goldman is widely regarded as a regional expert in the treatment of venous disease, receiving referrals from many other physicians and vascular surgeons.

Dr. Goldman is the President and Managing Partner of Princeton Surgical Associates. He has served as a Trustee on the Penn Medicine Princeton Hospital Board for many years. Dr. Goldman is an Assistant Professor in Surgery at the Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He enjoys teaching and training surgical residents and medical students.

Dr. Goldman has been named Top Doctor in Vascular Surgery by Castle Connolly for many years. He has received numerous awards for clinical excellence and has been named Top Doctor in Vascular Surgery by New Jersey Monthly magazine and Top Doctor in Vascular Surgery by U.S. News and World Report. He enjoys cycling and he lives in Princeton with his wife Michelle and their three children.
