Ramez Juha, M.D., FACS

Dr. Ramez Juha was born and raised in Syria, where he attended Aleppo University School of Medicine, receiving his medical degree in 2000. He completed two successive general surgery residencies, first at Damascus University in Syria, then at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. In each year of his residency at Methodist Hospital, Dr. Juha was awarded the “Highest Academic Achievement Award"; and as a chief resident, he received the “Most Outstanding Surgical Resident Award".

Following his general surgery residencies, Dr. Juha completed a fellowship in Bariatric Surgery at the University Medical Center of Princeton. During this fellowship, he acquired the advanced laparoscopic skills necessary to perform minimally invasive surgery for the most complex intra-abdominal conditions. After his advanced surgical training, Dr. Juha joined the surgical faculty at New York Methodist Hospital as an attending surgeon and served as a clinical instructor for surgical residents and medical students.

Dr. Juha joined Princeton Surgical Associates in 2014, arriving as a highly qualified surgeon in all aspects of general and minimally invasive surgery. He is one of few surgeons in the area offering laparoscopic gastrectomy, splenectomy, pancreatectomy, and colectomy, as well as laparoscopic hiatal, ventral, and inguinal hernia repairs.

Dr. Juha is board certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery, and he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Juha was recognized as one of “America’s Top Surgeons” in 2014 by the Consumers’ Research Council of America.  He lives in the Princeton area with his wife and three children.
